I also got delicious potatoes from John Nielsen's pastry shop in Seattle. These things are so frickin good. They aren't normally quite this shiny, but my camera has a crazy overzealous flash that I can't control. Dave made a special trip. Good man.

I did have to go to Cleo's choir concert tonight, which was not my ideal birthday evening (the boy's choir was SO BAD), but we went out to eat afterwards and it wasn't such a bad birthday after all. Tomorrow I'm co-teaching a Poketo and duct tape wallet workshop with my boss Sara at the library, so I got to spend some time sewing up a wallet today. At work. While getting paid. I love my job.

Happy happy birthday, Zola! Do something nice for your mom tomorrow to make up for ripping her to shreds nineteen years ago. Do something nice for your dad, too, what with the father's day thing. But most of all, do something nice for yourself!

In other news, my friend Roni is in labor, so a new baby will be joining the world today. Not that it doesn't happen often, but it's always exciting when it's someone you know. Welcome to the world, baby!
